Vintage Knitting Images...

Nothing like hand knit underwear!
I included this one because it made me laugh:)

The funny thing about some of these *vintage* pictures is that the styles come and go...This one sure looks like sweaters you can find in the stores today! In vintage times, it was called a *stole* but today we would call this a sweater wrap...the language may change but not the style!

Yeah, just do a search on etsy of *bags* and you will see these purse handles! I love the scissors:)

Yep, here is another timeless style...These are all over right now!

I never grow tired of looking through vintage knitting images....I love this one because it reminds me of my daughter knitting!

Coming Soon...The Knit Kit!

One handly little tool...coming this spring!

From craftzine...
Lime & Violet found this knitter's kit that is due out in March 2009. The Knit Kit includes a crochet hook, scissors, tape measure, stitch counter, thread cutter and a compartment for items like stitch markers. I know I always want more tools, but this seems like the perfect kit for the traveling knitter.

Book Feature: Strip & Knit with Style

by Mark Hordyszynski (Author)
Strip & Knit with Style! No, not that kind of stripping. Strips of fabric! Get your mind out of the gutter and take your knitting to a whole new place with these clever projects, each one made with strips of fabric. Start with surprising fabrics—cotton, rayon, linen, hemp, silk, wool, polyester, even lace, faux fur, polar fleece! Then start knitting, following the simple directions to make sixteen sophisticated projects. Add paint, buttons, feathers, and more to make unique garments (and home accessories) that mean you’ll never have to strip again. Not in the clothes-off way, anyhow.

Happy Reading, Heather

Alternative Yarns: Knitting with Fabric

Many of you know, I love to use unconventional materials to knit and crochet with. These are some of my recent color combinations that I have put together to use. These groupings come with 20 individual strips of fabric. Each strip of fabric is 8 yards in length, making a total of 160 yards per bundle. Each bundle retails for $15.00 for 160 yards.

My fabric yarn strips are available at heatherknitz.com, on etsy and in my lollishops store!
